Are you a new staff member coming into an organization that already has Salesforce? You might feel a bit overwhelmed, and wonder where to begin. This workshop is a great way to dive into your newly inherited Salesforce database, and quickly gain comfort in using or administering it.

This interactive session will help you sort out the key components of your Salesforce database, including:

• the data model
• which apps are installed
• how many users are set up
• what customizations have been added

The workshop will be in two parts: in Part 1, we'll provide you with a checklist for discovering how Salesforce has been setup for your organization, and explain how to use it. At a midway point, we will break for an hour to allow you to investigate your own instance. In Part 2, we will ask you to share your discoveries, answer questions and provide some next steps. The session will also include basic housekeeping and best practices for database management.

Please note that this session is not designed for newly-signed up organizations or those who are still in Salesforce trials. To attend, your organization must have an established Salesforce instance: it will just be you who is new to this particular setup.
